Seek consensus!
2017-05-26

The important thing on the way to reaching consensus is that if you're on the left, don't reject something just because a right-winger said it, and if you're on the right, don't reject something just because a left-winger said it. These Pavlovian reflexes, developed by party politics, fundamentally undermine the pursuit of a peaceful political environment and wise decisions. Get informed first, listen to the arguments (if there are any) and then decide. and you may still be wrong. Overall, you can be quite sure that there is something useful, even of public interest, in the opinions of both sides.

Try to stick to the familiar adage: Measure twice, and cut once.

If we continue to be antagonistic for too long, the country will be crippled.
