Patriotism means not maintaining a system based on a select elite and its minions against the majority. Ignoring, making impossible and exploiting a large percentage of our fellow citizens is not exactly a patriotic act. Teaching patriotism? That is exactly like demanding respect. It can only be earned. Patriotism comes from within, but teaching it only turns into some distorted brainwashing. Incompetence, conceit, arrogance, immorality, undeservedness, servility, sycophancy, money fetishism, lust for power, corruption... these are the things on which the present system is based, and real patriotism will never come of it.
Patriotism? Hey, this is not a game either!
