We could make a difference, and a big difference, if we put this on a new footing. Unfortunately, corruption is coded in liberal democracy (e.g. lobbying), and even more so in illiberal democracy, where it is done openly and the taxpayer-funded forces ensure that the same taxpayers have 'no objection'. Corruption by its very nature breaks down society, so it is worth taking action now against the system that sustains it. Unfortunately, in Hungary today, this does not unite the people, which is a good description of the true state of the country.
