There is not, and probably never will be, a social system that enjoys the full and complete agreement of every single citizen at every point of everyday life. It is therefore necessary to strive for one where the personal and collective interests of the majority prevail, as opposed to a system of self-appointed 'elites' based on a system of mostly repression. A further criterion is that it should not allow the emergence of autocracy and financial power centres with astronomical wealth.
Meritocratic democracy is such a social system.
